Je sers la main et défends sa force : faire, essence de l’homme.
Action, la main dessine la matière et la matière dessine la main.
Cette circularité devient pensée.
A l’horizontale les courbes se délient, la terre et ses aspérités ancrent le mouvement
de la main et son énergie. Au toucher se greffent des empreintes de textile,
de broderie, travail et tissage de générations de femmes.

Série de 10 sculptures en argile, finition brute, moulées en Espagne et en Dordogne.
Exposées au Bon Marché en collaboration avec Charlotte Chesnais.

CLAY HANDS
I use the hand and defend its strength: to make, the very essence of man.
Action, hand designs matter, and matter designs hand.
This circularity becomes an idea.
Horizontally, the curves unfurl, the clay and its roughness anchor hand movement and its energy. Textile imprints, embroidery, work and weaving by generations of women cling to the touch.
